Every September, the sights and sounds of the Civil War echo across the fields of Greene County, VA as history buffs reenact the Battles of Stanardsville and Rio Hill. Will you defend The Cause? Or will you join with the Union army to see that Virginia once again joins the United States of America? This event features exciting battle scenes, historical demonstrations, carriage rides, shopping, a period-accurate ball and plenty of activities for children.

This is a scenic and private 18-hole golf club with a golf shop, driving range, putting green, restaurant, pool and tennis courts. Golfing is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.

This Top 100 Golf Range includes a 300+ yard driving range and a fun 18 hole miniature golf course. The Highlands is fully lighted and has both grass & mat tees, sheltered and heated stations, sand bunkers, pitching and chipping areas and a practice putting green. Rental clubs are available. Male and female professionals are on hand for private or group lessons. The Highlands is located on Route 29 South in Ruckersville.

Stone Mountain Vineyards is situated atop the Blue Ridge Mountains in Greene County, Virginia (elevation approx. 1700 ft.). Established in 1995 with the first pressing in 1998. You are invited to come relax on the mountain and partake of panoramic views while enjoying our fine wines. Picnic area is available. Tastings and Tours of the winery are available including a visit to our wine cave where aging by nature's own temperature takes place.

Kilaurwen Winery, LLC, is an inter-generational family enterprise. Since 1994, they have grown wine grapes for many of Virginia's finest wineries and still do. In recognition of the family orientation, the vineyard, and now winery, was named after their three daughters- Kimberlee, Laura, and Wendy although they appreciate the Gaelic lilt to the name which is also part of the family heritage.
